In addition to getting Len Lawlor from Memphis, the department of philosophy at Penn State announced that Robert Bernasconi will join the department in 2009.
Kathryn Gines is joining PSU this coming fall.

Wow… good thing Memphis rejected my sorry butt a couple years ago… their loss… my gain, right? PSU is developing a very formidable faculty.

Can anyone comment on the overall strength (or weakness, I suppose) of the Penn State Philosophy Department?
