Hi Leigh and everyone,

thanks for the questions, as they are pushing us to develop more concretely the form (to allow the content to flourish in its most dynamic capacities possible) the journal will take (including editorial board and if it will be tied to a university). It is still in its experimental/formative stage, with submittors, editors, and volunteers offering their help and advice, of which your question plays in the process of.

The first issue's title/theme - "the alterior motive", begs the question of what establishmentarian practics the journal shoul align itself with and which it should not... (as far as copyright/left, some sort of open access journal will probably be the route taken) I have hopefully left enough time before the release of the first issue (march/april 08) for us to get all these questions ironed out (though hopefully keeping it open enough to make important unforseable changes as they are desired). the type of submissions I have been recieving from grad students/ undergrads, and professors alike all are of an "academic" quality... and I definitley see it as contesting power in an interdisciplinary way, including the physical sciences when applicable.
As for editing, it hasn't begun in any systematic way yet and so the blind peer review method might certainly be the path taken.

I started the journal and am a former rutgers undergrad student, and have joined forces with a couple of friends and some faculty that have been offering advice - among them drucilla cornell and elizabeth grosz

Thanks for your inquiry, peace!

Who's doing this journal? Is it an academic (i.e., blind-reviewed) journal?

Sounds very interesting...
